Collecting the issues spanning from the first, in 1916, through 1946. Bound in numbered volumes, each containing one year of the publication run, measuring 270x180mm (vol 1-16) and 265x190mm (vol 17-22), with volumes 1-16 bound in leather with top edges gilt, and gilt lettering on the spine, and volumes 17-22 bound in textured leather with no titling on the spine. The issues are bound complete excepting covers. A lovely set overall, with classic attractive bindings. There is some minor mottled tanning at the paste-down endpapers, and an attractive bookplate in the first sixteen volumes. The more contemporary bindings of the seventeenth volume onward have immaculate endpapers, though some have slightly warped boards, and tight spines. Internally across all volumes is a sense of remarkable tidiness without markings or foxing. Worthwhile for the plates, the commentary and the unique binding.
