c1900. 195x240mm, unpaginated with over 120 pages, each page illustrated wtih a single or multiple monochrome photographic plates and a brief underlying description, the obverse of the plate being blank, bound in blind embossed original cloth hardcover with (partial) inlain photograph on the front cover, and gilt lettering on the front cover. A fragile copy: the manuscript has competely separated from the bind, though the bind appears relatively stable on its own. There is some usual discolouration, wear, and damage to the inlain image, and the panoramic plate at the front of the work is loose (ie separate from both manuscript and binding. In addition, there is some very mild foxing at the extremities. The real enjoyment to be had from this edition is in the viewing of the photography, which has maintained very well. This photography showcases numerous landmarks, but also daily life and events in the city, Blue Mountains, and country NSW. Please note for those identifying as Aboriginal Australian or Torres Strait Islander, this book contains images of people who are now deceased.
